Does the number $ that show up beneath inquiries replied or asked is it steem dollars, and if so does it get credited to you steem account/wallet?","appBody":"

\n
The number $ that show up beneath inquiries replied or asked is actually STU, it is available for claim after 7 days of the post.
\n
The payout which is showing in your post/comment is neither fully USD nor fully SBD, so we can call it STU (Steem Token Unit). Please remember that earlier it was in USD, as SBD was pegged to USD at that point of time, but ever since SBD has broken the USD peg, we cannot say the payout in USD.
\n
This payout is again divided in to Author Reward and Curator Reward.
\n
\n
In Author Reward, if you have chosen the default (50%/50%) then 50% of the Author payout will be in SBD and 50% of the Author payout will be in SP. Here the 50% of the Author Reward will be in SBD directly without conversion and the balance 50% of author reward is in USD actually, which is then converted in to SP based on the value of steem at the time of payout and this is why it is called as STU, where the 50% of the Author Reward (liquid reward) is SBD and 50% Author Reward is in USD which is converted into SP.
\n
\n

\n
\n
If you have chosen Power Up 100%, then you will not get any liquid reward in SBD and the full Author reward will be in USD which gets converted in to SP and will be added to your SP balance at the end of 7 days.
\n
\n

\n
Author Reward = Reward to the content creator (like who posts a blog or posts a comment etc)
\n
Curator reward = Reward to the curator, means who upvotes the content.
\n
So now let’s understand with an example.
\n
Suppose you create a post and the curators upvote it and the pending payout is showing as 10 STU now (let’s say).
\n
Then how will be the payout let’s see.
\n
Here let’s consider that all the curator have upvoted after 15 mins of the age of post, as you know the curation reward varies if someone upvotes within first 15 mins of the newly created post and after 15 mins the curation reward becomes constant.
\n
In this example to simplify it, let’s suppose the entire curator have upvoted after 15 mins.
\n
Your post is showing the pending payout as 10 STU, so the breakup of the payout at the end of 7 days will be like:-
\n
(1) 75% Author Reward and 25% Curator Reward. So 75% of 10 STU that means 7.5 STU will be author reward and 25% of 10 which 2.5 USD which will be converted in to SP for the curator reward.
\n
\n
(2) From the Author Reward of 7.5 STU, 50% of 7.5 STU will be liquid SBD that means here in this case it will be 3.75 SBD and remaining 50% of 7.5 STU will be 3.75 USD will is not liquid and will be converted in to SP based on the value of steem showing in steemnow at the time of payout.
\n
So if the post is showing 10 STU as pending payout then the break-up of the payout in numbers will be:-
\n
Author Reward
\n
\n
Liquid SBD = 3.75
\n
SP = 4.87 (considering steem value as 0.77 usd per steem, so the calculation is like 3.75/0.77=4.87)
\n
\n
Curator Reward
\n
\n
SP = 3.24 (considering steem value as 0.77 usd per steem, so the calculation is like 2.5/0.77=3.24)
\n
\n

","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk6geazsw","appParentAuthor":"mulder2000","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

So, the STU amount represents an allocation of resources from the reward pool, that will then be processed and paid out depending on all the factors involved.
\n
In my opinion, the best thing to do would be to go to steemworld.org/@mulder2000, and scroll down to the author rewards window and hit the refresh button. There, a pretty accurate breakdown of what you can actually expect to receive will show up. Lately, what you see next to an answer or post in $ is being paid out about double that amount.
\n
So, if there's $3.00 sitting there, the actual payout, if taken in the SBD/SP split, will show something a little more than $6 in combined SP and STEEM, since liquid STEEM is being paid out in higher quantities than the SBD because the SBD debt ratio is still at or near 10%.
\n
The payout amount, however, differs, as I've said, based on how much STEEM is and how SBD is, so if STEEM surpasses SBD again (as it has in the past), expect to see all kinds of changes.
\n
STEEM WALLET
\n
Just like the other dApps on the STEEM blockchain, any amounts earned on musing that make it to payment, will be available to claim in your STEEM wallet.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk6geazsw","appParentAuthor":"mulder2000","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
