The problem is we feel as though we need it for protection these days. It is as though we have to take all the fire arms away and start again.</p>\n<p>The only way now is to make the laws so harsh that if you are involved in a crime using a gun that it is automatic life imprisonment. If you kill someone during an armed robbery it is the death sentence. This may sound harsh but it is the only way now.</p>\n<p>Crime in my country has escalated so much that shooting someone for their car or their phone is an every day occurrence. There are cases when a gun permit and a gun is justified, but in my humble opinion, in the United States you can get a gun too easily.</p>\n<p>Let's see the facts. The legal age to drink in the US is 21, but you can get a gun at 18. How is that fair? What's the reasoning behind this decision? You're old enough to carry a gun at 18 but you're not old enough to drink alcohol. But this is not all. In my opinion, there are too many guns lose, with license or without it. A stricter legislation would help definitely. </p>\n<p>In my country you can only have a firearm if you can prove your life is in danger and you can use it only for protection. There aren't many, who carry a gun, except of course for those who have their service guns. There is the case of hunting, but in order to get a hunting license you need to go through a rigorous process and you can only use your gun for hunting, also you have to keep it according regulations. </p>\n<p>When there's order, discipline and proper engagement from law enforcement, there's no need for firearms in the hand of the population.
