I'd forgotten my wallet which I discovered when I went to the counter to pay. I dug deep in my pockets and pulled out a load of very small coins and the girl held out her hand as I counted them into her hand. She had this huge grin on her face and was giggling as I counted them in my terrible Thai.</p>\n<p>She was simply smiling at my embarrassment but in a nice way and said, 'OK, good' and then 'thank-you' in English.</p>\n<p>She was just nice, and her smile was contagious as I left with a smile on my face too :-)</p>\n<p>You are totally right about these random and tiny interactions often having the greatest positive effect. We just have to realise this and savour these moments that are so important!!</p>\n<p>Again, bloody excellent question and I hope you get a hundred answers for us all to enjoy :-)</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fkr6hcalx","appParentAuthor":"angelacs","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
