I literally had no idea what it was and didn't know you were rewarded for content either.</p>\n<p>I stumbled upon it while looking up different crypto currencies and looked into Steem. I just wished I had found it sooner. When I realised it was a blogging platform I nearly ran away. </p>\n<p>I jumped straight in and haven't looked back. How many others saw what I saw and headed for the hills. I am glad I trued something out of my comfort one and see it as a challenge now. </p>\n<p>I fortunately didn't join because of something I was told or saw regarding making a fortune. I stumbled upon the Steemit platform last December 2017 after one of the <strong>Google Search Result</strong> pointed me to a blog post published to the Steem blockchain. </p>\n<p>As someone who used to have little-to-no knowledge about blockchain and crypto but have the knowledge back then that 1 BTC = $20,000, I immediately searched online how to earn FREE BTC online. Fortunately, one of the search result pointed me to a blog post on Steemit. And the rest is history. :)</p>\n<p>I honestly still can't believe how Steem is doing so well on Google's Page Ranking Algorithm. I just happened on a conversation and decided to do some research. I was itching to get something that would fetch me money online and when I heard of Steemit, I was like let's give this one a chance. </p><p>I went online and happened on a whatsapp group which had been running for two months already. I joined and began gaining information about the platform. It took two days to get my account approved. </p><p>I see myself as one of the luckiest because my growth was very fast because curie found my blog very quickly. I had 62 SBD within a month of joining the platform. It was that fast. </p><p>I began to introduce others as well. It's however sad that only few of the people I introduced are still active on the platform. They've all hanged their gloves saying it's not easy to make money here. I always talked about patience but they never took it to heart. </p><p>Many joined steemit with the hope of quick cash but there's no free cheese, not even in free town. Everything costs something. I had not considered the money much when I joined as I was focused on building my writing but when the rewards came, I took it as an added incentive. </p><p>That was it for me. I kind of invited myself.
