You listen to people tell their stories and you begin to wonder when the world got those bad. Sodom and Gomorrah would be proud seeing this generation.

Statistics says that one in every four children have been sexually assaulted. This isn't restricted to any one sex. Isn't that alarming? It shows that there are a lot of maniacal perverts going on rampage.

The sad part I that it doesn't show on their faces as many of them have all the characteristics of sane men and women. This is the reason why it's important to protect our kids against such.

First, be more involved in the life of your children. Get them to rely on on you and tell you things about them. Make your kids your friend. As a matter of fact, be their best friend. That way you'd be the first to know when there's something wrong with them. Know who they talk to, how old they are and what they do together.

Secondly, teach your kids to know what touch is appropriate and what kind of touch can be seen as abusive. This would help them know when a play is going too far. Many kids these days learn from bad experiences about their bodies because their parents were all too negligent.

Thirdly, have your kids know the proper a correct names for their body parts. Some of these pedophiles like to use fancy names for the privies and kids get carried away.

Fourth, teach your kids to be cautious about strangers. Some kids relate with virtually any stranger they come in contact with. You cannot have that be your kid when there are a lot of insane perverts on the loose. Let them have an alert system that triggers when they meet a stranger. It's for their good.

Fifth, teach your kids to trust their intuition. Let them know that if they don't feel good about a person, it's most likely their minds warning them about potential evil.

Sixth, follow your kids to the loo if necessary. Better still, check the loo if there's anyone in before they proceed. I'm talking about public places.

With these in place, you should have a measure of security. I hope this helps and I pray ours never fall victim to the madness that roams our streets.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3j3ef785","appParentAuthor":"semovita","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
