What Football Club are you rooting to win UEFA Champions League and why?

There are several clubs I'm rooting for to win this season's edition of the Champions league.

The first of them is Juventus. the Italian giants have one of the best squads on the planet at the moment when football is concerned. They have managed to reach the finals of the competition twice in the last five years. This isn't a common feat and shows that they have got what it takes to win the prestigious award. The one reason why they have lost out in recent seasons is because they had the misfortune of facing Real Madrid and her talisman forward, Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese is the competition's most prolific goalscorer and he always delivers the damage to them. His overhead kick in last season's quarterfinals goes length to buttress this fact.

So, with Juventus bringing in Ronaldo into their squad, their chances of winning the competition has skyrocketed. Not only will Ronaldo not score against them anymore but the Portuguese - who by the way is the competition's record goalscorer- will be the one spearheading their attacks. They can always count on him to deliver the goods.

Secondly, Liverpool is another team to be reckoned with. They have the squad to compete anywhere and anytime. Liverpool currently have the deadliest forward line in Europe with Mane, Firmino and Salah. The trio, last season were a joy to watch and they even reached the finals of the competition and only lost out because of the ugly incident of Salah injuring his shoulder from a rash tackle from Sergio Ramos and Karius poor form in goal. The German was the the one to blame for two goals scored by Gareth Bale.

This season, Liverpool have moved to correct those mistakes in bringing in Roma's goalkeeper, Allison and have also strengthened their midfield and attack with Kieta and Shaqiri coming in.

Thirdly, I'd root for Barcelona. The La Liga champions have managed to win the Spanish domestic title last season but failed to win the Champions league. the joy of winning the La Liga has been largely overshadowed by Real Madrid winning the European trophy three times in a row and four times in three years. Messi has made it known that the goal this season is the Champions league and the Argentine is very capable of delivering the trophy backed by an amazing crop of players with Dembele performing this season and Coutinho now legible to play in the Champions league.

so, its those three for me. Personally, I will prefer Ronaldo's Juventus wins the trophy just so Ronaldo can prove he runs the show. Winks
