Computer games, I was addicted to it for the longest time and so I channeled my attention elsewhere. I loved fast paced shooter games and so I joined martial arts and paintball. I got pretty good at one of them and over time, the virtual world started losing its draw. I suppose its all about managing your time and channeling your energy to something more meaningful. Over time, you will start to realize that you are in control and not the thing you are addicted to. It takes time and some 'cold turkeys' but hey, once you get out of it, you become stronger.

Smoking. I used to be a pack-per-3-days smoker. For 3 years it was the first thing i do in the morning, first thing i do after meals, last thing I do before listerine my mouth and head to bed. I come for a smoking family so there wasn't much resistance from my elders, My mother was displeased of course, but as i was no longer in school and was working, her policy was to advise and let me make my own decision ultimately. I only smoke 1 particular brand and flavour too.. Nothing else. Malboro Ice Menthol. First 3 puffs without pinching the mint and then mint the rest. it was hard on both my health and my wallet, more so my wallet unfortunately, but i can start to feel that i can't function without my fix and begin to panic. One day I remember just quitting it cold turkey, didnt even finish the pack, crumpled it and tossed it to the bin. Not sure how much there was left. Strangely there wasn't any withdrawals or anything. I've been functioning as usual since.. I'd like to think 2 packs a week for 3 years is heavy and quitting it is no small task, but I never really tell my story to people around because they will somehow diminish my extent of smoking to justify why they can't quit. Tried to tell someone once and that exactly happened, i told myself "fuck it, you smokers can die of lung cancer if you dont quit." I guess there is no "tips and tricks" to quit smoking, its a question of willpower at the start and then tailoring you environment to make sure you don't touch that thing anymore. I was lucky that I am very picky as to what cigarette to smoke so the only time temptation was there was when someone nearby is smoking the exact cigs.

Addictions to something of a substance at the start of trying to use it. Then continue, and eventually become addicted, such as smoking or smoking marijuana. Cigarettes and cannabis when addiction is hard to remove. There's a neighbor of mine. He is addicted to marijuana because of his friend's invitation. First he experimented, then continued until addiction. After 5 years he realized and wanted to get rid of marijuana addiction. The first thing he did was the family of the cannabis-drinking community. He does not hang out with them anymore. Secondly he reduced the amount of marijuana used. From day to day continue to decrease. After 6 months, she tries not to wear marijuana. When he sakau, he took ablution and continued praying, every time like that. After 8 months he was able to eliminate his addiction to marijuana. So little story from me hopefully there are benefits. Eliminating addiction must be with a strong determination, otherwise it will not work.

Many of us have one addictions or the other, the only difference is that some people already discovered what they are addicted to and some people have not discovered theirs or even know they have addictions or even believe that they can be addicted to something,as for me i am addicted to video games and i love playing them alot, infact i am an adult and some of my friends find it funny whenever they see the excitement in my face whenever i want to play a video game, anyways i got rid of it by getting my mind focused more on some other things but i believe it was easy for me to break the addiction because it was just something i love to do when i am not busy

addiction or dependence is one of the inherent traits in humans, the nature of it happens because we always do the same thing and continue to do today, for example today I am playing the game because it is too fun we too will forget the time and continue playing the game until tomorrow. to avoid it, you should step is to change the activities or apply certain points like playing games 1 to 2 hours per day, so we will not be addicted to it.

I used to be addicted to masturabation during My days in the high school and it was a terrible Situation because i was so addicted till the Point that i think about masturbating it every hour And i started to loose alot of weight while Masturbating more than ten times a week Masturbation somehow drains your sexual drive And make you to begin to prefer masturbating Rather than have sex,it made me to even begin To see sex as something that is not enjoyable While i saw masturbation as the best thing How did i get rid of it??it was not an easy task but I was able to get rid of it by first of all going into A serious relationship whereby i had to begin To force myself to have frequent sex with my Partner and along the line i got back my sexual Drive because my partner was good at sex and She made me enjoy sex again and i began to Prefer having sex than masturbating Another thing that helped me to get rid of masturbation was when i began todo some business that kept me very busy,i think the thoughts of masturabation usually happens when a person is idle or bored or lonely,so when i became very busy i hardly think about masturbation
