These are some of the traits by which a confident person can be recognized.

1. They are Composed.

A confident person always manage to get him or herself composed anywhere they are. It is of course by the virtue of their confidence and the knowledge that comes from it that they believe in themselves, so much so they don't allow others to intimidate them or to get them off their equilibrium. And as a consequence, wherever they find themselves they're always calm and collected and composed.

2. Speak with Authority

A confident person is sure of what he or she says. Mainly because confident people don't just talk anyhow. They think before they speak; they don't just say things for the fun of it or to exercise the muscles of the mouth. They speak only when it is absolutely necessary and something must be said. And whatever they say they know is going to be pertinent and important and so they say it with authority.

It mostly is that confidence and speaking with authority goes side by side and are the product of each other simultaneously. What I'm saying is a person who knows that he or she doesn't speak thoughtessly will become confident of whatever he or she has to say. And whoever is confidence will mostly say right things and speak with with authority.

3. They Don't Get Riled Up

Equanimity is a trait of the confident. When situations arises a confident person is relaxed and keeps his or her cool. A confident person faces problems with equanimity because they have faith in their abilities and even more faith in themselves. That is real confidence.

Anybody can be confident when the environment is calm and free of challenges. It is only when challenges arise that the truly confident can be known, because a truly confident person will never panic or be thrown into mad hysteria in the presence of a challenge.

4. Decisive.

Confident people are decisive. They don't spend the better part of the time facing a problem and vacillating about what decision to take. They don't waste time dawdling when a situation requires shop decisive step to be taken. A confident person knows that whatever decision he or she makes will be the right one. And and this is important when making important decisions because you must have faith in yourself to be able to pass through somethings in life.

5. Supportive not insecure.

A confident person is never insecure when it comes to celebrating another person's success. Because a confident person believes in his or her ability, and knows that another person's success doesn't negate his or her own success in any means. So they are supportive of their friends and their families and they appreciate them and they celebrate them regardless even of the fact that they may be in a competitive situation.

Because they have faith in their own abilities and are confident in themselves, they can get things done they cheer on their mates and try their bests to instill this confidence in them too. A confident person will never ever bring another person down.

6. Loving and Humble and Willing to Learn

Another characteristic of a confident person is that they are always humble, and loving. Most of the time you just notice that people who are full of hatred and are proud are mostly people who have no confidence in their own abilities and are insecure and projecting the evils of their own heart over to another person.

When you see a confident person you see somebody who doesn't have anything to worry about; somebody who has faith in his or her fellow human being; somebody who supports them who loves them and who is humble to them.

And finally a confident person is always willing to learn no matter how much they know. Because no man is an island and no man knows it all they are always willing to add to whatever pool of knowledge they might have and with this their confidence increases and the knowledge increases in that beautiful loop.

Hope I've answered your question satisfactorily.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f352vkl85","appParentAuthor":"penauthor","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
