When and how did you first know about cryptocurrencies?

I first heard about Bitcoin after i graduated from my  College in 2010 It had no serious value or anything then. I heard that it could the currency of the internet. I heard that and I forgot about it.

Second time I heard about bitcoin was in 2014 when  RBI gave its first circular that Bitcoin is not legal in India. I read the news and moved on in my life.

Third time I heard about it from my nephew  he messaged me when BTC was around 6500$ asking me if i wanted to buy. I replied him that BTC was illegal in India. He dint say anything further. But this incident let me research about BItcoin and why its value has skyrocketed. 

One thing led to another and now here I am on another Crypto backed network.
