I think that an alter ego is either, a second character you have. For example Bruce Wayne's alter ego is Bat man; since they at least seem quite different to the people of gotham. or even a more fitting example is Mr robot who has a utterly different personality to the protagonist. In fact they even have different morals .</p>\n<p>Another idea I had of an alter ego was that it is someone else with an utterly different personality, your inverse personality wise. So if you are introvert he is an extrovert.
