Although voting is a matter of choice, if it is being made compulsory we will have high turnouts of people who come out to vote. </p><p>As we all know that we as the masses in a Democratic government have the full right to decide who or whom not to vote for so in that case we are the one's to choose whom we consider as the best or right person to attain a particular position. </p><p>It will not be a bad idea if voting is made compulsory.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fk3dfevzq","appParentAuthor":"tabontabon","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

Having the chance to vote is a choice that wasn't available to everyone in the past.</p>\n<p>I don't think it should be compulsory but the choice of the individual. I know loads of people who don't vote as they say it makes no difference. Usually, the general requirement is age. If a particular kind of people do not choose to vote then some other people will vote.</p>\n<p><em><strong>In fact in all the countries of the world not 100% of their population actually votes in nigeria mostly we only have about 55% of the population that votes and this number is still recorded and it is used to decide a new electoral office </strong></em>so there is no crime if people choose not to exercise their electoral duties that is why I think compulsory voting must not exist because it is an infringement on the freedom of people</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fk3dfevzq","appParentAuthor":"tabontabon","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
