If Steemit Inc don't implement them, other developers are working on solutions. If you read @taskmaster4450's recent article - https://steemit.com/busy/@taskmaster4450/steem-passing-ethereum - you can learn about a project being worked on to allow for the creation of tokens as a second layer on top of STEEM. This would enable dApps to create their tokens, without waiting for the official SMT's upgrade from Steemit Inc.</p>\n<p>SMT's will, happen, one way or another. As the time and effort that we are giving in order to attain the tokens that we have right now. Our time and efforts will not get rewarded as a matter of fact.</p>\n<p>While the investors who have invested with high hopes their efforts and time and the resources will go in vain as well.</p>\n<p>While besides the efforts of us the Team behind the dapps that have been giving so much effort id making their dapps much more user appreciable and all the hard work that they did with these couple of months will sure go to waste. Besides many platforms such as Steemhunt has already implemented and exchange protocol for post rewards getting as hunt token. If SMT's never gets to see the limelight than those users who have converted the hunt tokens as post rewards will sure get heart broken as a mater of fact.</p>\n<p>While as far as last Steemfest went by I esteem team delivered a message for the Steem Community that they will be launching an exchange for exchanging Steem/SBD to and from SMT's so all the Teams are working hard for their projects and they are doing their best in implementing it .
