Mainly because in order to answer correctly we have to define the terms \"rich and wealthy\".
\n
One can be rich in a lot of ways. I am personally rich with love, reciprocal respect for my family and peers and with a general good feeling about things.
\n
I would define wealth wealth as an abundance of all of the the above with the added element of financial security. It's my contention that because of the well roundedness of the way I define wealth, then it would follow that a wealthy man is always a happy man (or woman).
\n
With that being said, one can be rich with money, love, or respect (all exclusive of one another). So, someone can be rich with money and not happy because he has only fulfilled one aspect of the pie of wealth. Another person can have all the love in the world and not be able to pay their bills, thus leading to unhappiness.
\n
So, to pick apart the question a little bit: A wealthy man is always happy and a rich man can be happy or not.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fk8rpa2zq","appParentAuthor":"uyobong","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
