Why do some people live a easy life while some are still struggling to survive?
Life is simple. It is people who overcomplicate their lives.

I like Reg Smith’s answer too. Similar idea.

Do you ever notice the more you watch your bad-luck friends, the more you observe how it is their own bad habits that cause them the most problems? They put themselves into difficult situations, make poor choices and good excuses, then have a tendency to repeat the same deadly patterns over and over and over again.

And you have no way to tell them, they could just stop and get off this crazy thing.

Ben Franklin said something like this: Your net worth can be determined by subtracting the sum of your bad habits from the good ones.

Problems rarely jump out of nowhere. Warning signs are usually apparent to those who are paying attention. The “fortunate ones” who seem to have life so easy, pay attention to the little things BEFORE they become big problems: job, health, relationships, the car, the roof.

They work on good habits like studying, saving money, eating right, paying attention to health and fitness. They check the weather beforehand, literally and figuratively, anticipating what could happen before they jump into something. They go where the getting is good. They stay away from trouble and hang out with people who support their good habits. If good fortune seems to flow their way, it is because they put themselves into the path to receive it.

Yeah, yeah, you’re right, shit happens, even to the best people. We all get hit with adversity and unexpected surprises.
