It's already possible to encrypt your messages, so there's not really a problem with creating this. The only big hurdle is that you need to pay at least 0.001 SBD for each encrypted message, since they need to be sent via the wallet. This is not really a lot of money, and besides, you do get them back when the other person replies to you, so maybe it's not that big of an issue.
\n
Another issue would be the RC cost. A chatting service could probably drain a huge amount of this very fast..
\n
\"How appropriate do you think it would be for what the platform is meant to be? \"
\n
This does not matter at all to me. Steem is not meant to be something; it's a blockchain that has the ability for anyone to create their own dapp and use it the way they want. If people want to use their RCs on private messaging, so be it. It's not like Steemit Inc. or anyone else has a say in what people should use their stake for.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkt2jtldx","appParentAuthor":"acesontop","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
