It depends on what you mean by learning it, as well as what your goals are. If you learn blockchain development, then I'm sure you can get a well-paid job pretty easily if you are skilled at it. If you don't want to work as a developer, then I don't see a good reason why you would need to learn about blockchain technology other than just the basics.
