json_metadata | "{"app":"Musing","appTags":["Religion"],"appCategory":"Religion","appTitle":"What is the difference between righteousness and holiness?","appBody":"<p>Am going to answer this question based on my belief as a Christian.</p><p>There is a clear difference between righteousness and holiness.</p><p>According to the Bible, righteous is having the very nature of God in the human spirit.</p><p>While holiness is the presence of God upon a thing.</p><p>Most christains believe that holiness is greater than righteousness but it's not true, nothing could be further from the truth.</p><p>The only way you can become righteous is by receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior over your life.</p><p>2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.</p><p>Righteousness also is a gift from God,it's not something you work for to achieve it comes as a result of receiving Jesus Christ into your life.Romans 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)</p><p>The clear difference between this two is that only human being can be righteous and at the same time holy because as Christiains our body is the temple of God and his presence is in us through the holy ghost.</p><p>While inanimate things can be holy but can't be righteous, example, mount Sinai was called an holy mountain because the presence of God came upon it,the burning bush where was called a holy ground when God's presence landed on it but they are inanimate things.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fkcdpth9x","appParentAuthor":"jokyboy2","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
