My suggestion,and how to get my vote,is to write about something that matters. To humanity.
People can blog about how they love Steemit,coffee or fashion or whatever, but honestly I think it is boring, and it is of no consequence. Try to make a difference in the world, and then write about it,and you will get followers. Making something here can be difficult,or you might get lucky. But no matter what,just do something that you believe in.
