There is not much that can be done unfortunately. Maybe there was a glitch with the password generation? So far this is the only case that I have heard, but if it seems to happen again I can ask the busy.org team to look into it. Regardless of what happened though, there is nothing that can be done to access the account without the PW. Just double checking - that was the one and only pw you got? If you look on steemd.com does it show any other activity with the account? (Like a password change) If you try the change password tool on Steemit.com, does that work? Those are the only things I can think of.

Yes, there was just the initial screen for setting up a new account. I chose the name of the account and saved the 32 character password - like the one on the following screen! The account was then set up. It is showing 0 changes to password on steemd.
