In SA you are still more or less free to speak your mind which is great, but that's about the only thing you have left. Ireland is a very small country and you are better off  not speaking about politics and religion, but you can if you like, however you have general freedom of speech and you feel very safe. Of course with all the refugees/immigrants coming in things may change at any time. People criticize those leaving for other countries, but life is really way better as long as you can have money of course. Having said all that with 7.5 billion people on the planet and robots taking over our jobs a thinning out of the population is inevitable. Therefore you will be safer in SA than I will be here in the long run. Russia and China are preparing to take out the NATO countries sooner than later. You are probably aware of all this already.
