Nice post one thing i think all developers should look at though is the competition. Many nations now and paying for kids to develop coding skills and are willing to put in a large amount of money to do so. Id recommend any wishing to learn or just doing it as a side job to learn your craft well or you will have a new force of people who will be able to take you place with ease.

I'd add to this: yes, competition is really good - that is, competing with yourself (your past self), getting better everyday. other type of competition may be less relevant.
