But his primal contribution was the establishment of quantum theory. ## How did he calculate the Universe’s age? *** He calculated it by using the cosmic microwave background. ***  *** ## What does NASA stand for? *** NASA stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration. ## What is NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory? *** The Jet propulsion Laboratory was created on the October 31st 1936 (30 years ago) it’s located in California, that is where they construct and operate robotic spacecraft. ## Define the speed of light? *** Speed of light is the velocity at which light travels in space. ## How fast does light travel? *** The speed of the light is approximately 300 000 Km/s. ## Does light have a mass? *** Light is an electromagnetic radiation with no mass. ***  *** ## Is earth at the center of the universe? *** Earth is not at the center of the universe but it’s at the center of the observable universe. ## How can scientists measure the size of the Universe? List all the methods. *** There are two methods used to calculate the size of the universe: - The measure of the baryonic acoustic oscillations - The use standard cepheid stars to calculate the distance. ## Using the Bayesian model averaging, how big is the Universe compared to the observable Universe? *** The Universe is 250 times larger than the observable universe. ## What is that distance in light years? *** This distance is 7 trillion light years. ## What are the possible forms of the universe? *** There are three different possible forms of the universe: - A closed sphere - Infinite and negatively curved - Flat and infinite. ***  *** ## How many atoms exist in the Universe? *** There are approximately around 10e70 10e80 ## What is the name of the Galaxy we live in? *** The galaxy we live in is called the the milky way. ## On which spiral arm is earth located at? *** Earth is located on the Orion arm.
