Yes, this is one big bit of news for the *brain trust* that is the STEEMIT Community. We have been talking about the *Smart Media Tokens (SMTs)* and the potential effects in the  [SteemSpeak Discord Channel](https://discord.gg/sqxV63P) since the announcement went viral.

I appreciate your post. It does have a big build up, but that build-up explains the rationale behind the SMT.
