I just use Steemit on my laptop, do you think just taking a picture of passwords on my phone would be a good idea? I don't connect to the internet on this phone, and anyway it wouldn't say what the passwords were for.

It is better than not backing them up at all, but I would not consider a phone a safe place to store them. Saving them on a burned CD, printed piece of paper, and flash/USB drive are the best options IMO. A fireproof safe is a good idea if you actually get to a point where you have a lot of money in your account. If you lose your PW, there truly is **no** way to access your account.
