What does it mean on Steemd.com when some found a pow???

I was looking through steemed.com and noticed on someone's account it says that user &quot;found a pow&quot; what does this mean? It doesn't make sense to me.

This is when that person is mining for Steem, first they need to find a block and then they are moved in the witness queue in order to produce a block when their turn comes and then get rewarded for it.
