Right, so as I've described in detail, the soft-cap creates a barrier to entry for exploitation. You have to be a programmer to get around it. In essence, the platform will get gamed even worse then it was originally because the new system rewards the whales who are also programmers. It's even more centralized. And then, a developer will realize they can make EVEN MORE money by creating a hack that allows every whale to exploit the system, for a nominal fee of course.
