Oh my, that looks like a serious security vulnerability. Some serious bugs could slip through such hole causing [Kernel Panic](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kernel_panic) or [Blue ~~Star~~ Screen of Death](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Screen_of_Death). Patch it, you should.
