It's been that way for some time now but I just left it alone because I thought it was a glitch in the system and hoped it would correct it self, but it didn't. Last 2 weeks ago merlin7 sent me a request that she was following me and asked that I follow her too so I did but this week I noticed I wasn't following her anymore, so I just left it as it is.

Hmm.. In this case I never see any follow transaction for @merlin7 (from you) on the blockchain. The history is here: https://steemdb.com/@masaitv/following

Dont know what to tell you but that person did send me a message saying they are following me and asked that I follow back which I did but then this week I noticed I am no longer following.
