Steem has a future because the blockchain is decentralized and the community is great and hard working. So that's why I believe there will be growth. It's going to take time and patience.

"However we are going to see more adoption of Ethereum at this point than many of this week's publications predicted. The technology here has a great potential to transform almost every industry we're currently involved in."

But how long does it take for these new platforms to catch on?

Wes said: "There's no single day, it seems, when the community is going to take a leap. There's always new products coming in to the market, and this is an opportunity to start making a contribution to all the companies doing these kinds of things. To make sure that everybody has the latest technologies with a big enough footprint."

The key here is to use existing blockchain technology in ways that will make money for those building these networks and then building around it.

"Think of them being like the Uber of the blockchain market. What better way to start the next big driver app that everybody uses? To make sure that this application is more like Uber than anything else on the market. It's just better. The key here, I believe, is that you build things with this as your primary purpose instead of trying to do all the usual stuff that would help your competitors."
