I quite enjoy the downtimes :D Not sure about Binance but pretty sure they have to close the wallets when the chain freezes, which is why they run their own nodes and why having to ask them to update all the time sucks :)

Yes it's strange being one of only a handful of steemians online. Like talking a stroll at 3am when the world is asleep.. Binance not working whilst steem is frozen makes sense but it's been at least a week now, pre HF if I'm not mistaken.. I know someone told me they saw a 1 million steem buy on bittrex yesterday..
