>One of my challenges when I got here was that there were so many Value extraction methods, which provided a greater yield then the methods which injected value into Steemit and the Steem blockchain.
The incentives were poorly aligned for a strong long/term future.
|I think it’s important to have a balanced view and understand perfection is probably beyond the reach of imperfect beings.
I am hoping that this is actually a strength of Steem, there can be multiple attempts and failures across the board, and still there is room to grow. Decentralized development is important for risk reduction.
>The content creators, developers, investors and all the other various types who make up the Steemit community all bring different things to our community and they will probably never be equally rewarded.
The only way there an ever be equality in outcome is if all relevant factors are also equal, including all skills, all efforts, all knowledge / it is an impossibility. However, there should be potential for anyone who puts in the work and successfully adds value to also earn value.
>The most active and the most powerful in the community will define value with their power and persuasion, and that along with the rules, the loopholes and the exploits will determine the distribution of rewards.
My hope is that most of us grow up and realise what a power that is for building the attention the space needs to grow into a superpower.
>I am a resigned realist. I recognize the world's imperfections, avoid them as much possible and do what I can to reduce their occurrence, but choose to focus on the world’s joys, and my passions, as my recipe for happiness.
Happiness and sadness are the same coin, flipped. What is great in life is that we get to make our own call.
Thanks for the great comment and the time you spent here :)
