Many people live in reality bubbles (aka ones own little world). I spent about 45 years working in the field of astrology, specifically [astrology software](http://www.astrology-x-files.com/delphicoracle-download.html) in the last 23 years) and it was this narrow focus on running my business that kept me from realizing just how important bitcoin was in 2010 when I first heard of it.
For the past 2.5 years I feel like I'm talking to people who have no ears. The vast majority of people just don't get it. I'd say that less than 1% of the people who I've explained this to have listened or really believe that crypto is going to completely disrupt the financial and political structure of the world.
One might think that most astrologers would get the fact that we're heading for a major banking crisis in the west, but they generally don't. Many of them are trapped in statist thinking and believe that somehow everything will go on as it has been. The majority in this group are left leaning and they do say major political changes are coming, but they seem to have a blind spot as to the efficient causes (the left in general also seems to have an aversion to understanding economics).
I think Libra token will onboard some once the Libra consortium have captured the regulators (how could they not with such a vast pool of financial power; enough to rival even the largest governments), but at some point in the not so distant future, if they start out using a "basket of fiat" to back their token, they will have to switch to a "basket of crypto" in order to not suffer from the consequences of the currency wars and hyperinflation...
