<b>I wonder why no one mentions when its a good time to vote.  From my understanding if you vote before 15 min mark you share 99.8% of your rewards to the Author.  If you vote after 30 min mark you keep 100% of your rewards.</b>

So, rather than being genuine and just voting for things I like I should wait and time the system so that the author doesn't keep as much?  Something's not right here.

It's linear from 0 to 30 minutes, so after 15 minutes you get 50% and the author gets 50%. After 30 minutes you get 100%.

That's a little messed up.  If that's a measure against bots, they'll just change voting to 30 mins or whatever time.
