### The Go Programming Language

GO is an open source programming language which aims to make programmers more productive. Programs were easy to write because of its concurrency mechanism. 

In addition, Go allows users to build flexible and modular programs.  It feels like a dynamically interpreted language in a much faster which compiles quickly.

Furthermore, Go programming package includes a handful standard library which can be access through [golang.org's documentation](https://golang.org/pkg/). Aside from the stadard libraries, it has additional sub-repository for your interest to be included e.g. benchmark, crypto, and mobile. 

Since GO is an open source, you can contribute to its development through its sets of repositories at [github.com/golang](https://github.com/golang).
