I have to same issue and check my last post which use steemimg. looks ok. after reading this. check again still OK. then check older post. nope, not ok even for steemimg.

I think that is due to browser caching. If you try any of the posts with a fresh clean browser the images don't show up or they take so long to show up that the browser gives up.

I thought so too after looking at a few more of mine and only the latest works but I didn't want to start clearing cache at mid-morning. Hope this issue is fixed soon. Previously, I provide like to selective images of my post. May have to consider providing link to all images.

Yes or if you can get by with really small images it seems to be a temporary workaround but it is not really viable for a photography post.
