I would also like to be able to follow tags, so I don't have to go to the home page to find the list, or just type them in manually. Just want something like aggregated tags I'm interested in on a single page. As for what the following page should look like now, I think a good beginning is a page with every article written by people you're following arranged chronologically. And then a page listing everyone you're following so you can review/prune the list in one place.
