I am still getting a signigicant lag on the input field for comments and new posts and edits, but it isn't as bad as it was.

It is something you can open a GitHub issue for, but I don't know how high of priority performance related issues are going to get. Right now they seem to be focused mainly on feature development and bug-fixes. It is obviously important to address those things before the site goes 'officially live', but while still in 'beta' it might not be considered as important.

I think it is pretty serious but it now appears to be resolved anyway. *whew*. It was starting to be quite annoying.

Are you using IE by any chance? I seem to have really bad lag with a lot of things when I use that, but Firefox/Chrome don't seem to be bad.
