I don't know how you came up with this idea but it perfectly match what people don't know about Steemit. I learned early enough that on Steemit it is **You** that is rewarded and not necessarily the contents. 

When you create value consistently, you becomes the value itself. You create what is called *a cultlike followership**. Some post are trending because the author has proven himself to the community.

So, I believe people should learn to understand that they carry  the value and not the post.
