hopefully this creates marketplace where you can burn steem to purchase ad banner space.... real estate on the trending and hot pages will start to be worth something as the hottest tagged posts get bid on for ad space... the function to burn steem though is key...nothing like reducing the supply to increase the price per coin

Steemit is a private company, and this is their website - not the blockchain's. So, burning doesn't really make sense. They have to make money somehow.

That's fine because private individuals have the right to use adblock and the new ads wont even be noticed at all by the users using adblock

And yeah burning stem is so stupid, like wtf dude, this isnt some new proof of work shitcoin were mining here, godamn thats so annoying how people wanna suggest burning steem, like go ahead dude lol gop ahead and give up your money but dont expect someone else to want to jujst give up a bunch of their own wealth for the good of the "group" which is a lie its just for the good of a few other individuals, thats how it always boils down...the group is just a lie to benefit some other individuals...
