Flagging is a serious consequence here on Steemit, not only do you lose potential payout of your post but also have to deal with the negative social experience. No one should flag just out of fun, you will get a lot hate in return when you do so! because you can always edit your post before your first payout or give someone a second chance. There is room for change, many of us need to be warned or aware of the issue before getting punished by a flag.

However those who keep up with bad behaviour on Steemit, deserve a flag! It's hard to determine when you should flag someone! Personally i don't think you should, leaving a reasonable comment is much better !

That's what I had to experience yesterday :/ apparently you can get flagged for mixing up a fruit.
If you notice from the Image Below, it will show that you have received a 'Downvote' and display the user who has flagged your post

# My Honest Mistake for Getting a Flag is that i mixed up a fruit!  Try to stay positive by commenting or reaching out to others on Steemit.chat. Everything can be resolved so there is no need for Frustration when engaging with the Steemit Community.
I can see that some people take things too serious on this platform, it's a good thing but always try to be a reasonable person! Worst Case Scenario should be a Flag! Comment or Chat with that person first! Don't get their attention with a Red Flag because they will found out and you can expect negativity in return!

I thought those were Cherries! i upvoted him and next thing you know user @natka2 replied to my comment and flagged my latest post.

Honestly feel like I made a big mistake commenting and upvoting his post. I will also never mix up Ranetki with Cherries again! He downvoted me for that reason. Maybe I have to think twice before I interact with any Steemian, as there is fear of me getting flagged. This is my second frustrating experience here on Steemit, I hope that every Steemian out there is prepared for the event, that some stranger will try to make your life harder!

These type of users should just flag themselves and hopefully, they will leave you alone! There is so much positivity on Steemit, don't be surprised to be let down occasionally! When you get a flag it's because maybe you deserve it, but there are much higher chances, that some user out there have a hard time to deal or cope with their frustration

# My Solution to this Problem

- If you want to flag someone, if it's a minor issue perhaps find them on Steemit.chat before you comment on their Post. Never Flag without a comment stating that you did so and why!
- If you see someone being flagged for no reason, step up by indicating that he/she shouldn't have been flagged by leaving a positive comment

Don't simply Flag other People ! They will find out and if there is 1 person flagging you, try not to take it so personal because that individual most likely has his own personal problems. A Reasonable user will indicate that they have flagged you and commented why they have done so.  There are more Good Steemians out there than bad ones, so occasionally you'll run into this problem, don't let it get the best of you! STEEM ON!
