While we do not teach violence in schools, weapons and war equipment are spectacular in form and power.  Kids love the idea that they have control and power over something and it gives them self-confidence.  The war tank is one arsenal in battles that represents invincibility (up to a point) and power in the midst of combat.

<h2>SCIENCE</h2>

The war tanks are “indestructible” monsters of war that are designed to dodge bullets and bigger calibre of guns. They are designed to destroy a target with just one shot. Armed with big guns and protected with thick impenetrable armor, the tanks are well suited for frontline battles.

Discuss with kids how tanks are built with materials that make them indestructible and how they are armed with super big guns which can destroy a house with just one shot.

<h2>ENGINEERING</h2>

Most tanks run slow because of the nature of its design and the materials and components used to build it.

As students design their robotic tank using the kit, remind them that tanks are not build for speed but for strength and robustness. 

<h2>MATH</h2>

The design of tanks that make them strong requires mathematical calculations in terms of material strength, balance of speed and stability, and even aerodynamics. 

Give them examples of objects or other vehicle that run slow due to the nature of its design, like a farm tractor.

Tickle their minds why a super jet plane can travel fast when it is so much heavier than the war tank.

<h1>VALUES EDUCATION</h1>

Conflicts often results to violence and war. However, when conflicts are faced head-on with cool heads, reasonable solutions, and sometimes, compromise the world will not have to suffer the violence of war and the horrifying after effect of it.

Children must understand that resolving conflicts may be done in a democratic way where everyone is given “fair” treatment. Violence is never the answer for anything.
