Thank goodness we never got served boiled cabbage nor cold slaw as children, only ate traditional cold slaw (thinly sliced white cabbage, carrots and mayonnaise) in adulthood.

My husband ate those sloppy boiled dishes growing up, mentioned it many times, consequently I have never boiled (or tried to). I have lightly fried with onions and garnishing.

These Asian/Mediterranean style dishes sound exceptional and well worth trying with flat breads which I do enjoy serving @fionasfavourites
