It therefore places the responsibility to do something to help understand those around you. What would be wrong with teaching people to be bilingual? Interesting to note that those who are bi/multilingual have better reasoning and critical think I think skills, exhibit greater levels of empathy, and are more likely to be tolerant and proponents of cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity. There is nothing wrong with being bilingual. On the contrary, I think people should learn at least local language and "the universal one".

See, I see no point in have a “universal” language when people can simply be multilingual. People will learn the language of their community as a child, it’s no big deal to them learn another language. I understand that once you master a second language, multiple languages come easier, as one starts to notice the linguistic patterns common to all.
