Correct. Apple stepped away from objective-c in 2014 as their main language and have thus far concentrated solely on their in house language Swift. The syntax is beautiful to be honest.  Very intuitive and if using x-code, storyboards and auto-layout are almost a work of magic, if you can wrap your head around it that is. Still object oriented though so a good foundation is python.
