Pretty soon copyright is going to be meaningless.
Imagine a world where everyone ran a torrent over TOR and that is what everyone used for exchange of all things internet.

The future of the internet will no longer rely on central servers. And after that, trying to enforce copyright will be like trying to shoot a swarm of mosquitoes with a big bore rifle. (you may hit one... maybe)

So, the only copyright will be the people respecting the original artist.
And, a piece we still need in the internet is the ability to easily tip artists for content. (yes, steemit is a good step)

But the trouble is people don't respect the original artist.
I'd hate to have some of my writing swiped. It hasn't happened yet because I'm a very small minnow, but I might wake up one day very disappointed that someone not only taking, but is profiting my creative efforts.

The idea of copyright doesn't go away just because that creative work is easily duplicable. Just because it's easy to steal something off the internet and you might never be called out to take down that piece, it doesn't mean its okay. Remember the Steemit rules about using proper attribution.

A copyright never stopped people from stealing the work of artists.
Even Hall-water-mark has stolen people's works.
The laws have done nothing to ameliorate this.

So, the internets and the resources on it, should be set up to as easily find the original artist as possible. Because, what the good people on the internets want, is more of that content. And people love to give back when they have been given to.
