Google is now targeting hidden extension which contain a Bitcoin miner.

A phenomenon that has followed the crypto currencies is the hidden excavation for the currencies that happen through hidden "hijacking" of the PC to unsuspecting users. This phenomenon will now go Google to get rid of, the company reports on the Chrome blog.

The new measure consists of simply banning all extensions to Google Chrome browser that digs for cryptoview.

So far, Google has allowed Chrome extensions to be excavated by digital currency on the condition that the excavation is the sole purpose of the extension - and that users are unequivocally aware of what the extension actually does on your machine.

Does not follow the rules
However, according to the company, there are very few extensions on the Chrome store that follow these guidelines. In fact, 90 percent of grave functionality extensions do not comply with Google's rules, and in view of this, they now have to banned all extensions with such functionality.

Extensions already offered via the Chrome Web Store will be removed by June this year, and from now on no new will be added.

Google says that they have recorded a significant increase in the number of extensions that claim to have useful features, but that hide grave scripts running in the background without user permission. As the search giant points out, such scripts can consume large processor resources and significantly affect both performance and power consumption.
