I'm inclined to agree with this analysis. Behavior differences drive the actual differences we see. They would be even larger if it weren't for government interventions such as progressive taxation and the welfare state.

I also think that many of the behaviors on Steem are not predictive of the way people act in real life, this is likely more true for those who feel they are anonymous.
