If you have ever used Google Docs you will understand the power of online document editors. HackMD is another option for writers who wish to collaborate on text files online. In fact its the only solution you need to turn your virtual office into an online powerhouse. 

What makes HackMD.io so great?

I use HackMD all the time and I think its great for several reasons. Firstly you can pick between a basic markdown / html editor or write content in it's Microsoft Word looking type window pane. Theres another option where you can view both at the same time by using the splitscreen function.

Furthermore, once you login to HackMD with one of your social media accounts its easy to access at any computer simply by going to their website. There you will find all your documents saved and can search and find what you are looking for easily. 

Finally the editor window allows a lot of cool features you can easily apply with options to bold, italicize and create breaking lines or add images.

HackMD.io has saved me and my co-workers a lot of time giving us a quick and easy way to collaborate on documents. It has increased our productivity by allowing us the ability to work on projects and documents at the same time. I wrote a single document with a friend in half the time it would have taken me to write it alone.
