Respect to the above view TDO, and I like your funky and colourful use of language - kudos to the author/s of the opening statement this round. You've made a pretty big splash. I'd not heard of you before and I'm kinda quite liking where this may be going. 

However, I don't get how the above quote squares with the one below:

Perhaps the *being financially motivated* is a red herring, in that you *do* intend and want the 'Truth' to come out and are happy to be paid your relatively modest sum - which of course is a pittance for any of the 'big' players, or even some of your hacked-on-their-knees and bent-over-barrel 'victims' :). 

So here's my fantasy scenario (sincere, not partic. serious):
- You guys have the golden goods and have no intention of cutting them with false or misleading info
- The *red-herring* of being financially motivated lends you credibility (it's such a common human motivator that it is accepted as 'obvious')
- You wanna see who bites from amongst those who 'crush' Truth (maybe play some other TDO games with them)
- You have no intention of selling to any of the Truth-crushers
- Instead, your intention is indeed to open source the info
- You have realised already that pure financial motivation is old hat; Abundance already exists and you are  made already in terms of financial security...besides, $2 mill is a lot of weed no? ;-)
- There is great pleasure in sharing, in experiencing the impact of one's actions as it unfolds, tracing the lines of expansion that one has set in motion (in a positive sense). You are aware of this.

Ok your track-record (such as I have briefly seen) may bring this into doubt for some......but maybe, just *mayyyyyyyybeeeeeeeeeee*, I am instead (casually and in a friendly manner) casting some naive doubt on your stated motivation...........  ?

They clearly say they want to get paid above it all. For all we know, it's all so edited and redacted that it'll be only noise. I don't know, but what they're saying in those three words makes everything else look like pure shit, then when they say they'll happily take money to edit and remove information, and it could be that they never got paid to do that, it only looks like pure extortion. I have my reservations about what they release being revealing or insightful. 

BTW, The Vice was pretty funny.  God damn I love REAL piracy.

First of all, I don't like what they're doing.  But I will stand behind their ability to do it.

Second, financial motivation should be front-and-center.  If you want more of this, it should be rewarded.  If they really have something worth paying for, I encourage people to pay for it.

Paying for a job well done is perfectly justified.  If they have access to information you want, and if they're the only ones who have access to it, it makes sense to pay them to take the time to compile it, release it, and take the necessary precautions to protect themselves.  These are all things they will need if they will continue with future releases.

I have not dug very deep in what they've released.  I'm pretty sure I won't support them.  I'm glad they have a venue.

**Most important:** If for-profit peddlers wearing dark hats can get away with releasing information, just think how this will empower the whistle-blowers who are way to timid to consider doing this yet until they see that this is a viable way to shed light on darkness without putting themselves in danger.

You make a lot of good points @inertia. I am quite torn in regards for my support for them. I want the truth out there and I think they should get paid for the work they have done. I don't agree with them holding the information for ransom for the highest bidder. I also realise that they are putting themselves in quite a bit of danger by having this information (assuming it is really significant and damming). 

I also think this a good opportunity for Steem's other frontends to get more exposure. I have already seen one youtube video questioning censorship because Steemit Inc has blocked their account/content. Busy, Steempeak and other frontends have not. I would hope for more media coverage on this, seems unlikely but who knows.

I logged into Busy for the first time because of this post. Regardless of my opinion on this content, I'd like to thank Busy for not censoring it. I just posted (through Steemit) that I'm considering leaving due to their blatant disdain for freedom of speech.
Now regarding the content.
I'm shocked that a dump of 9/11 info was just made, and there are only 26 comments (almost a full day later). Isn't this pretty huge news, or at least very interesting to people?

For the checkpoint file, it doesn't have a `.container` file just a bunch of files with extension `.msg`. Anyone know how to open those?

The Checkpoints are simple ZIP-Files
The cointainers to be found in the .torrent file which is a 10 GB ZIP containing Veracrypt-Cointainers.
Worked nice for me with preview-container and Cointainer 1 - but I have Password-Error for Container 2.
The key is smaller than the others. Maybe there are charactert inside killed by MarkDown-Language? So they should us a code section
