An interesting fact that is made interesting as it contradicts the approved media narrative of the bad man perpetuating violence against women is that women are as likely (some studies suggest more likely) to initiate violence in their personal relationships. Part of what helps skew the narrative is often they are still given a pass with law enforcement/judicial system. Some interesting studies on this (of which there are many more for any interested).

We have also seen what feels like an epidemic in recent years with female teachers having sexual contact with students (for which they also seem to get a more lenient interaction from the judicial system). There still seems to be a double standard suggesting young boys/males are "lucky" if such a thing occurs. No entertainment that feelings between sexual partners is often hard enough for adults to deal with, let alone boys maturing into adulthood. Nor the consequences for the young lads if a pregnancy occurs and they are now on the hook for paying their rapist child support for which they are ill equipped to handle. A condemnation of not only dealing with the mental/emotional issues of the sexual encounter, but probably a sentence to lifetime poverty and or jail time for not being able to fulfill their court mandated payments to the adult woman who took advantage of them.
